Alfred's POV

I yawned softly , holding my stuffed rabbit close. It was time to get up, but I was so tired and just wanted to stay in my bed. My bed was warmer anyway, even if it was summer. I yawned once more, slipping out of bed with my stuffed rabbit in hand.

I scurried out of my room, but not before grabbing my blanket to take along with me. Walking down the stairs wasn't too difficult, but I just had to watch my footing. I felt like I was going to fall because I was kind of sleep walking.

"I'm so tired," I mumbled softly once I hit the bottom of the staircase.

I heard some dishes clanking together, making my eyebrows shoot up in question. I ran off into the kitchen to find Holly humming softly to herself and cooking something.

Holly helped us around the house and by us, I meant by Iggy and I. When Iggy had to go do something, Holly was here to watch me and keep me company. Iggy would normally be back soon but it all depended sometimes.

"Hi Holly," I mumbled, gaining the young woman's attention. She whirled around, her doe like eyes wide as could be. In mere seconds, they softened, a small smile forming on her face.

"Good morning Al!" she greeted. "Did you sleep well honey?"

I nodded, rubbing at my eyes. "Y-Yeah," I murmured, walking further into the kitchen. "I'm just weally tiwred..."

"Aw, don't worry, you'll wake up soon enough," Holly assured me. I nodded once more, walking up to stand beside her as she cooked.

She giggled softly, leaning over to give me a kiss on the cheek. My eyes widened, a giggle escaping my lips as well. "H-Hey," I said, looking up at Holly who was smiling widely.

"I just couldn't resist it anymore Al!" she exclaimed, kneeling down to pinch my cheeks. "You're just so cute I couldn't hold myself back any longer!!"

I giggled, pushing her hands away. "Nu huh," I told her, sticking my tongue out at her. She giggled, shaking her head.

"It's true!" she exclaimed, returning back to her cookie. "I'm sure even Arthur would agree with me on this one."

I shook my head, rocking back and forth on my heels but then stopped.

"Where is Iggy?" I asked, looking back up at Holly. She looked down at me, a brow raised in question.

"Arthur? He said he would be back soon, I think he went to talk with someone," she told me, reaching forward to shake some type of spice into her cooking. I tilted my head to the side, watching Holly as she cooked.

"Okay," I whispered, returning to rocking back and forth on my heels.

Holly hummed softly to herself as my gaze drifted off to look out the window. I pressed my lips together, having the sudden urge to go outside. It was nice out so Holly shouldn't object, even though I haven't eaten yet.

I could eat strawberries out there though.

A wide smile find its way onto my face. I really loved strawberries and they sounded really good right now. I hadn't had any in a few days so, now was the perfect time to go out and find some.

"Holly," I started, looking back up at her. She stopped what she was doing, looking back down at me.

"You need something sweetie?" she asked me.

"Kind of..." I trailed off, looking down at my feet.

"Then what is it?" she asked, curiosity filling her voice.

I looked back up at her, feeling hopeful. "Can I go outside?" I asked, in hopes she would agree.

Holly laughed softly, returning to her cooking but still paid attention to me. "Why do you want to go outside honey?" she asked, picking up a big spoon.

"I want some strawberries," I mumbled. She raised a brow, laughing softly once more.

"Is that so?" she asked, earning a nod from me. "Well, if you really want some strawberries, I suppose you can go outside for just a little bit."

My whole face lit up, the biggest smile forming on my face. I attacked Holly's legs with a hug, thanking her over and over. She simply laughed, patting me on the head. "Now, before you go," she started once I let go of her legs. "Let's do something with that blanket of yours."

My eyes widened in fear she was going to take it away from me until I came inside but, to my surprise, she didn't. Instead, she bent down, taking the blanket out of my arms and wrapped it around me. She tied it together, so it was like a cape.

"There we go," she said, sitting back on her heels. "Now, go get some strawberries. Arthur should be back soon."

I smiled, thanking Holly once more before running out of the house in search of some strawberries. It was really a good thing, what Holly did with my blanket. Now, I didn't have to worry about it! All I had to worry about was my bunny, but I knew I wasn't going to leave it behind. True, I could've left my blanket and bunny inside but I liked bringing it along with me wherever I went. Leaving it inside was like, being mean to them.

I made it to the woods like area behind the house. This was where I normally found all of the strawberries, well, the good ones.

Stumbling forward, I entered the woods. I couldn't go too far or Holly and Iggy would get upset with me and probably yell at me. I didn't like getting yelled at so I decided to stay in the very beginning of it, not in the depths of it. Besides, I got scared of the woods, real easily at that.

In mere seconds I found the strawberries, my eyes growing wide. I squealed, running up to them before I could do anything else.

I reached out and grabbed one, plopping it into my mouth. I clapped my hands together, nodding as I swallowed the delicious fruit.

"Wone of the bwest strawberries yet!" I exclaimed, reaching out for some more to eat.

I ate to my heart's content, not stopping until I either ran out of strawberries or I was called inside.

The strawberries seemed to be extra good today, and I had no idea why. They were still good on a regular basis, but today, they were extra good.

"Alfred! Time to come in! Arthur's home!" I heard Holly yell out, making my sky blue eyes widen. I stuffed as many strawberries as I could into my mouth before grabbing my bunny and running back up into the house.

Once I entered the house, I noticed Holly was right, Iggy was home. He was chatting with Holly when I came in.

"Well, good morning Alfred," Iggy greeted me, giving me a small smile. I returned the smile, only mine was wider than his. I saw Iggy's eyes widen though.

"W-What?" I asked, feeling like I did something wrong. Holly then turned around to look at me and started giggling softly. I felt my cheeks heat up. "W-What?!"

"Your face, Alfred," Iggy told me, gesturing to his face. "It's a mess."

My eyes widened in pure surprise. "O-Oh..." I trailed off.

Iggy nodded, walking up to the sink and wetting a rag. He turned around, making his way up to me. Then, he knelt down before me. "You have strawberry juice all over your face," he stated, wiping away at my face. "Have you eaten strawberries any strawberries lately?"

I nodded, letting Iggy clean up my face. "I- I just ate of whole bwunch," I whispered, seeing a smile form on Iggy's face.

"Well, how about this," he started, pulling the rag away from my face. "You and I can go out and gather some strawberries after we eat. Does that sound good?"

I nodded, a big smile breaking out onto my face. Then, I attacked Iggy with a hug, almost making him fall flat on his behind.

"Yay! Dank you Iggy!!" I exclaimed. "I wove you!!"

He hugged me back, chuckling softly.

"You're welcome Alfred," he whispered, holding me close. "I love you too."
So, I got this head cannon where little!America loves strawberries.

And then this came out of it.

So, if this is historically inaccurate, I'm sorry. Leave me be. :P Little!America loves the strawberries.
